Betrayal Trauma and Porn
Calling all Christian women out there! I am currently struggling with betrayal trauma due to my boyfriend's porn use throughout our relationship. I want to heal from this but I continue to struggle with severe anxiety, anger and a lack of trust for him. If anyone has any insight on the matter, especially on how I can begin to heal from this, I'd be greatly appreciative!

Its important to validate your feelings.
Sadly men can get so caught up in porn that their relationship doesn't become a priority anymore and it creates unrealistic expectations as to what one should expect from a partner.
Its important to communicate how and why you feel as you do.
Trust needs to be re-established.
Healing is possible and moving forward.
You need to make a choice to move past it and decide if this is for you and if your bf can give you what you need and make your relationship and intimacy the sole priority and nothing else, wishing the best for you both 💜💕
@Amanda84 @Amanda84 Thank you so much for the insight! I try validating my feelings but I also want to do it in a way that doesn't enable me to act out on my feelings. I've been so incredibly hurt throughout this journey to freedom and I often find myself getting angry and acting out on it through bickering and unintentionally tearing him down every now and then. I used to hardly ever get angry and if I did, it would take a lot to get me to that point. I guess what I'm saying is that not only do I not like how his porn issue is making me feel internally but I also don't like how it seems to trigger how I act. It's been a difficult season to navigate. I have determined that it is a make or break situation for me but at the same time, any time he has slipped up, I ended up staying. It's caused havoc in our relationship and I really don't know how to rebuilt trust. He has supposedly been without it for 7 months (I solely take his word for it), but the trust has not been restored and my anxiety and anger has not gone away. You would think since he has been without it, instead of consistently viewing it like he was, things would be better. Thank you again for your response! Your message gives me some hope.
