Curating Content, and setting expectations in a relationship with content?

Once I know an artist has been convicted of crimes such as assault, I wouldn't want to continue listening to that artist or band, especially if it is a singer. Knowing that voice was violent to someone during an act of assaullt, it would and has given me such an uncomfortable feeling to hear them. So, I must research an artist before hand before I am willing to listen. I can easily let go of music if later on a band that was once fine turns... not. Once I know a band has been tainted by a disgusting member, I can't stomach to listen, even if the rest of the band were unaware. This is what works for me. As a survivor of assault, I simply can't ignore that I am listening to someone who harmed someone like I was harmed. It reminds me of my own harm, and I can't shake the thoughts that haunt me of who and how a person was harmed by the artist. I'm also deciding for myself if I have a partner, I would tell them I am looking for someone else with the same values. I wouldn't want a relationship if the person could ignore they are listening to a *** or pedophile. Has anyone else considered these boundaries?

I don't think this is unreasonable at all 💚

Boundaries are healthy.

And it's important to know what you will or won't stand for or feel comfortable with!

We all have our values!

I'm so sorry for all you went through 💚
