DV/SA survivor / DV in my apartment building / trigger warning ⚠️

I am a DV survivor and endured abuse of all kinds from an ex in 2015. I am now engaged to a wonderful man who makes me feel safe and loved. We live in an apartment building and the tenants downstairs unit directly below us are a couple.

They fight all hours of the night and I can hear them beating up on eachother. This has been triggering for me and I'm at a loss of what to do. The walls are paper thin and I worry they would hear me if I call the cops. Other people in the building have called the cops multiple times and nothing happens or is resolved. The property manager is aware and does not care. I have tried wearing headphones but i can still hear the slamming and feel the vibrations even in my ned trying to sleep.

I could use some support and tips on how to cope with DV happening in your building. It gets triggering because my ex in 2015 SA me and robbed me and stole my concert tickets to my favorite artist. I have done so much to heal and am now in a loving and happy relationship with the man I'm going to marry.

We moved here in November and otherwise love our apartment. Most research I have done says to not get involved because they could get violent with you if they find out it was you. We cant afford to move out and im really unsure of what else I can do or how to cope. Thank you in advance for the support!!!

I understand how overwhelming this is for you, especially that it is like a trigger from your past relationship.
