Help ;(
I need to vent. I'm a minor and I'm in a very difficult family situation. I have a little sister with autism, and everything has been hard since she was born.
My parents haven't had a good relationship. My dad has other children, and my mom had hers very young. She has a bad temper and has resorted to physical and verbal violence against me since I was a child. Things got worse when my sister was born: my mom also hit and yelled at her when she was just a bab
I had two relationships, both secret. The first was with a boy almost 18 years old, although thankfully he never did anything bad to me. I only went along with the second relationship out of pity and fear of losing his friendship, but in the end, I lost both: the relationship and the friendship. I feel confused and regretfu
At home, instead of support, I receive comments like "you're fat" or "you look like the autistic one." When they see me cry, they don't ask what's wrong, they just tell me to "stop crying" and that I "look silly." This makes me bottle everything up and feel even more misunderstoo
I've felt so alone that I've turned to AI assistants to calm my thoughts. In my desperation, I've even asked them how to leave ☠️. Of course, an AI doesn't have those answers, nor can it give me the human help I so desperately need. This only shows how deep my despair runs and how much I need to talk to a real person who will listen to m
My sister has autism and receives therapy, but at home she doesn't obey, and the frustration sometimes makes me react badly too: I yell at her, I pull her hair, and I know it's wrong. I feel guilty, but also invisible; no one explains how to support her or includes me in her proces
I've had thoughts ☠️, I even self-harmed, and although I stopped two months ago, the temptation returns. I only went to therapy once, and even though my mom promised to change, everything's still the same. She works a lot, she's hardly ever around, and my grandma gets tired of taking care of us.
@Z0oble
I'm sorry you are struggling, so much, and feel invisible.
It's important as hard as it is, not to pull your sisters hair.
It can be difficult when you feel a sibling gets more attention, but she's navigating a difficult world that can feel lonely.
And it's absolutely wrong of your mother to treat you like this.
And please , those 18 year olds were way too old to be reaching out to and being in a relationship with a child
You need to be safe and never even message any adults.
It's good you can come here to vent.
You deserve to have someone to listen 💚
In a side note, is your username from digital circus? 💚

Awww, thank you for those words, I really needed them, and yes, my username is Zooble from Digital Circus, is my favorite character.
@Z0oble
You are welcome, I love Digital circus 😁💚
Hi. I'm autistic. Have you ever read the book Managing Meltdowns by Deborah Lipsky? Also if you're in the UK, NAS runs support groups.
I'm autistic, so I can help answer any questions about Autism or what it's like to be Autistic if this helps. ♡
