How to not feel lonely all the time?

It feels like, there is a constant need for me to have someone in my life. Otherwise I feel empty and depressed. I try to keep myself busy in my job, but there is a constant need to be heard, seen and loved. And in that emptiness, I accept anyone. How to overcome this?

I'm sorry you feel that way, and I really relate to what you're saying. That feeling of loneliness and that sense that something or someone is missing from our lives is so heavy....I've been feeling something similar myself these past few days.
I don't know how one can fully overcome this... Sometimes I feel that reading might help...getting lost in a novel to the point where you almost live with the characters. But the problem is, the novel ends, and with it, we return to that same emptiness.
Something a little funny I do sometimes: when I feel lonely, I go for a walk ....and I purposely choose busy streets with lots of people. After a while, I go back home with a slight sense of contentment, just from seeing so many people who I'd be willing to have as part of my life, haha.
anyway I don't know if any of this is helpful... but as I said, I don't have the answer either. I just wanted you to know you're not alone in this. And I really hope that emptiness becomes more bearable for you soon.🙏

I actually also try to watch movies/series to the point, i forget what's the reality and the real life. I go out with my friends, but craving that real connection, somebody who's there for me, who understands me, leads me to choosing the wrong people.

I think when we're that hungry for real connection, we sometimes grab onto anyone who offers even a little bit of attention, even if they're not right for us. I've done that too. It's not about being weak — it's about being human.
yesterday I was actually thinking about this  ... I also feel this need for a real, deep connection. But I wondered: does something like that even truly exist in this reality? Or is this need of mine just some romantic, unrealistic fantasy?  I haven't found the answer to that question yet. But maybe we just keep hoping.

@yourwarmhug1234 I understand how you're feeling. I was in a similar situation, feeling lonely even when being in a room full of people I know. I cant say I completely am aware of your situation, but I suggest you to journal your thoughts, to try and find a pattern. Only you can fill that void inside you, I think rather than seeking external validation, you should try thinking about yourself and your growth as a person. Saying in words like this seem small, but it's a tideous process and can only be overcomed with a strong will and dedication which I believe in you that you'll develop. However, I cant give definitive advice as this is your life and I dont have enough context but I'll let you know I trust in you to figure it out. I suggest you to get a listener if you want to vent about it.
