Help telling my mom about a situation

I'm not exactly sure what area to put this on as I just joined this app but over 2 years ago a situation happened where my own father sexually assaulted me. I haven't told any family just close friends. Well just recently my mom has been diagnosed with cancer and I want to tell her but I don't want her to blame herself as I'm not sure how long she may have left. I'm also afraid she may pass before I can tell her but I'm not ready to tell her yet. I don't know what to do some help would be nice please.

No i haven't. When it first happened I was scared to mention it to anyone as I was living with him at the time it happened. And the only people I've told is close friends
I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. What happened is not your fault. It makes sense you feel stuck. You don’t have to rush telling your mom take your time and maybe talk to someone you trust first. You deserve support
