Lasting Effects of Childhood Trauma
Right now I have a wave of strong emotions running through me. Emotions I can't make any sense of and don't know what they are or why I feel them.
I guess its born from the lack of parental guidance as a child.
It's something I'd like to learn how to deal with because I'm in a very childlike state right now.
Ask me to be responsible or do the right thing, and you'll see nothing but a mature and capable adult.
Put me in socially vulnerable situations and I'm an emotionally unstable mess.
@Sasher I appreciate your honesty in sharing your feelings. Emotions can be complex, and it's okay not to fully understand them sometimes. It sounds like you've recognized a possible source of these emotions, which is a significant step towards understanding and coping with them.
The impact of childhood experiences can linger into adulthood, and it's admirable that you want to learn how to deal with these emotions. It's important to remember that you can work on healing and growing emotionally.
It's also interesting how you describe the contrast between your mature and capable side and the emotional vulnerability in social situations. This duality is a part of many people's experiences, and it's something you can explore and navigate with time and support.
If you ever want to talk more about these emotions or strategies for managing them, please feel free to share. You're not alone in this journey, and there are resources and people who can offer guidance and support.
@Sasher I didn't have parents either 😞 trauma is such a hard thing to deal with, our feelings and the can be all over the place at times. Are you getting help. Like doctors and health professionals? I'm sorry sweetie I know it's hard. Gives you a giant tiny hug ❤❤
