My anxiety
Hi, I’m 16. I’ve been struggling a lot lately. I went through traumatic experiences as a little girl—some involving men and some involving teachers. These things have deeply affected me, and now I’m dealing with anxiety every day.
I’ve been seeing a psychologist for about six months, but honestly, I don’t feel like it’s helping much. I still feel really lost and alone.
I just wanted to share this because I need to talk to someone. I want to connect, make friends, and feel like I’m not alone in this.

Hey, thank you so much for sharing this. Honestly. It takes a lot of courage to speak about something so painful, and I really respect you for that. What happened to you should never have happened — and I’m truly sorry you had to go through that. But I also want you to see how strong you are.
The fact that you’re going to therapy, that you’re reaching out and trying to connect with others — that’s a huge step. Even if it doesn’t feel like it’s helping right now, that doesn’t mean it’s pointless. Sometimes it takes time, or even a different therapist, to find the right fit. And that’s okay. You’re allowed to change things if something isn’t working for you.
I want to help — not just with kind words, but really help. I can listen if you want to talk. I can try to find resources, support groups, or coping tools that might actually make things a little easier. You don’t have to go through this alone.
Your feelings are valid. You matter. And I’m here if you need someone who won’t judge — just someone who cares.
