My mind
I have support around me, yet I feel like I shouldn't have it and that I should deal with my problems on my own, but I also feel like I should share my issues because it helps to come to terms with my trama filled childhood, but I know I should let the people around me help, so I don't lose myself within my head but I'm slowly letting people in but I also don't let them know too much because I don't want them to bare the thoughts I carry. But I don't think I'll find happiness without addressing my issues and taking accountability while also understanding that I'm the one that can truly change my outcome while having the right support system.
@HollowTree247 I am glad you are starting to let people in. Don't be afraid to let them fully in. It is scary but you were not made to carry your problems alone. You need support from friends, family and sometimes even a therapist. They are trained to help you process your feelings.
Yeah me too. And, you're right about not having to carry all my problems all by myself and I know it's a process but I believe in due time I will be alright but the help from my friends and loved ones has definitely helped as of currently, but if need be then yes therapy is always there but just venting has helped a lot to clear my head and I've learned that sometimes it's best to let things be and to not stress over every little thing, especially things that are out of my control. So thank you for taking the time to read it and for even replying it means a lot.

Hi HollowTree,
I'm sorry that you had to endure trauma in your childhood.
It's hard to go through trauma as a child, we bring it with us into adulthood and it affects us in so many different ways, even in ways we didn't even think of.
I understand how you feel, how it's hard to ask for help and even recieve it. It feels as if we're a burden for the people we're asking for help from. Even though they don't feel that way.
When we go through childhood trauma, we're being neglected emotionally and so we learn that we don't matter. Even though we fully do, and you do matter.
But this unfortunately is stuck in our inner thoughts and makes us believe that we don't deserve the help we do deserve to get.
It makes it hard to share how we feel, what we're going through and what we're thinking. Because we know how it is to feel bad and how it is to suffer, so we don't want anyone else to suffer like we do.
So we do our best to shield them from our suffering, so they don't suffer from our suffering.
The thing is, the ones who love us want to share the burdens we carry, they want to support us.
It's hard to let them in, it does take time. But you'll have to allow yourself to make that happen.
It can, as you said, help you come to terms with your trauma from your childhood.
If you feel like you have the support system you need, would it be good to allow yourself slowly to take one step at a time to open up to them? To allow them to help you?
Healing from childhood trauma takes time and work, but it's worth it. I have childhood trauma and I have actively worked on healing it. It has changed my life dramatically to heal. I believe you can do it too.
Allowing people to help you is a wonderful step to take, I believe in you :)
