Need to vent
I've had an incident over the weekend with my ex where I felt unsafe and was being acused of things I never did. I've since contacted some people and they've told me it's dv and to get in touch with other people.
My ex left of Sunday and I've only heard from him this morning saying he was coming to grab some stuff and to quickly see our child, other than that he hasn't even asked how our child is.
I've been feeling so sick from anxiety about him coming over today but seems he's a no show. I don't know where to go from here, I thought he would at least want to contact our child but seems he's more interested in hanging out with a female friend he used to do drugs with

I'm really sorry you're going through this. It sounds like an incredibly painful and exhausting situation, and you don’t deserve to feel this way. What happened over the weekend clearly shook you, and it makes sense that you're feeling anxious and unsure about what to do next.
First of all, I want to acknowledge how strong you are. Reaching out to people and recognizing this for what it is DV is not easy, but you did it. That takes courage. You don’t have to handle this alone, and it’s good that you’re seeking support.
As for your ex his actions (or lack of them) are not a reflection of you or your worth. I know it hurts that he hasn’t even checked in on your child, but that’s on him. You’ve done nothing wrong, and it’s not your job to chase him or make him be the parent he should be. Right now, your focus has to be on keeping yourself and your child safe, both physically and emotionally.
If his presence makes you feel unsafe, you have every right to set boundaries. If you haven’t already, maybe consider getting advice from a professional or a support service for DV survivors. You deserve to feel secure in your own space, without the weight of his unpredictability hanging over you.
I know this is overwhelming, but one step at a time, okay? You are not alone. You are doing your best in a really tough situation, and that is enough. Be kind to yourself, breathe, and take things as they come. You are stronger than you feel right now, and you will get through this.
