Puppet Boy (A Poem Of My Life)
This poem contains the following triggering content:
mentions of SH, ***, depression, abuse
Tension building like a hurricane
Puppet boy, just stay quiet
Boiling like a pot that overflows
Puppet boy, don't make a sound
Burn your hands as you try to contain it
Puppet boy, just keep smiling
"I Am Sober", time to reset the timer
Puppet boy, don't wander around
Swallow the pain and continue your day
Puppet boy, why are you crying?
Don't say a word or you'll get hit
Puppet boy, please talk to me
Watch as the strings bite into your wrist
Puppet boy, are you dying?
Blood spills out from the wooden shackles
Puppet boy, come walk with me
Don't worry about him, he's just a toy
Puppet boy, obey my words
Toss him around and not care for the wounds
Puppet boy, your life is so great
Mold him to make him your perfect trophy
Puppet boy, haven't you heard?
I only love you if you do what I say
Puppet boy, perfection you can't escape
Throw puppet boy right into the fire
Puppet boy, does your wood burn?
My little creation is falling apart
Puppet boy, what happened to you?
My creation blames me for all of his pain
Puppet boy, don't you learn?
I did everything right and tried my best
Puppet boy, I'm in pain too!
I'm hurting and crying, as you can see
Puppet boy, all fallen apart!
I broke him to pieces, I drove him insane
Puppet boy, my guilt is immense
Crying as I hold the strings in my hand
Puppet boy, my poor work of art
I need all of the help I can get
Puppet boy, your words are intense
Why is he lying still on the ground?
Puppet boy, can you not stand?
Why are the strings all snapped and strewn?
Puppet boy, are you okay?
Those wounds on your arms, did I make them?
Puppet boy, please take my hand
Did you make them yourself, are you hurting?
Puppet boy, can you please stay?
Now Puppet boy wants to leave this place
Puppet boy, you're going where?
He holds the p!lls in his wooden hands
Puppet boy, this won't give you ease
Talk to me, I'm sure I can help
Puppet boy, are you there...?
Answer me, so I can know you're okay
Puppet boy, please...
Puppet boy...?
