Should I stay or should I go

This has been just tearing me apart, I cannot decide this so please give me yalls thoughts on this

So the question is should I stay here, follow my parents plans for me, or should I move out once my last year of highschool is over

I will try and keep this brief. My family is something I have deeply conflicted feelings on. On one hand, my dad is an unpredictable man-child who has anger issues, and blames everything on everyone else, and victimizes himself. I have tried for years and still cannot predict when he'll lose his cool again and start screaming. Blames our behaviour on our Mom, most anger is directed towards her usually. Because of this, my Mom usually hides things, and lies. Due to my fathers nature, since I was a child, my Mom would often talk to me about this stuff, venting to me. Probably not healthy for me as a child. Eventually, I started becoming more of a co parent for my mom. Whenever theres an issue with one of my siblings, she comes to me to talk about what to do. Her solutions can occasionally be tad extreme. Example, giving him some of my antidepressants, or some melatonin without him knowing. I have become more of a support for my mom than my dad ever was. However, she wants me to stay in this house until I get married, basically another 10 years, and probably get married to an Indian lady of her choice. She refuses to even discuss the idea of me moving out with her. I love my Mom, but I'm not sure if I can do this for another 10 years. Not to mention just hearing my dads voice, or seeing him fills me with fear, or disgust, maybe both. They also just want me to "get cured" of my Schizophrenia, and refuse to believe the fact that this disease takes years, or could even last my entire life. Not to mention their values. They are racist, very homophobic, and last time we talked my Mom explained that incest was a nornal thing and apparently her family marries their cousins all the time. I disagree with most of their values, especially my fathers whole, 'Starting a business is the best decision you will ever make'. I dont even really see him as a father at this point, he never really does anything fatherly, *** he doesnt even have a hobby, or friends, all he cares about is control

My plan was to leave home as soon as I graduate. Of course without my family knowing, Id leave them a note. I might look around and see if any colleges let people stay in dorms during summer, still working on finances, might apply for FAFSA since i'll be near broke out there

Anyways, on one hand, I want to escape all this family drama, dont know how much longer I can put up with this, and I want to be my own person, have my own beliefs, morals, and values, not dictated by my family, but ones I make.

On the other hand i dont know what my Mom would do without me, how would she manage without my support, shes also a victim of my father but refuses to leave due to religous/cultural norms. And I dont know, I just feel constantly guilty when Im not around her, Just so much guilt when Im away from home, even just spending time with friends just so much godam guilt. Not to mention leaving is risky af since no going back and still struggling to come up with a plan for once I do leave like where do I go, dont really have family who wouldnt notify my parents, nor friends. Not to mention CPS is monitoring me after an OD attempt and if they catch wind of this they'll investigate (this is a burner so they cant monitor through here)

Whats yalls take on this

@TwoFacedTim I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. I completely understand feeling uncertain on what to do next, I've been in a similar situation. It's a really tough decision, and it's incredibly difficult trying to navigate everything, especially when it feels like you're alone in doing so. One thing that I have learned and come to accept, and I know it's way easier said than done, is that you've gotta take care of you. You've taken care of others you're whole life, it's time for you to start living you're life the way you want and figuring out who you wanna be. You and you're feelings matter too. Even if it's scary and difficult do what you feel is best for you in the long run. I know that it may feel impossible now but you'll figure everything out, and I'm certain you'll find others that'll help you along the way. I promise you've got this, I believe in you❤
