The body keeps the score
So I just started reading this. It was a book that rosebud recommended to me and so far, within the first 20 pages, i have learned things about just PTSD that I didn't know. Everyone has always slapped that diagnosis on me since forever but no.one, including myself, has done anything with it or tried to explain or educate or HELP. I've been absolutely losing my cool on people for no reason or very little reason for so long. I've hurt others... Physically at times for reasons I have yet to find an answer to other than I'm messed up and maybe that's how I'll just always be. But since I was little I always heard you don't have to snap. You're always so irritated it's like anything I say to you puts you out etc so forth. It's on a revolving disc of phrases that are said by different mouths but are still the same question and statement. What's your damage and why do you have to aim it my direction, more or less.
that's the basis of most anger issues, the misplacement of built up negative energy. basically when the reaction is not given in the appropriate moment and in response to the event and bottled up until the person "snaps". that's also where a lot of passive aggressiveness comes from!
all that aside though, that sounds like a really good book if it's helping you understand yourself better🥳
