TW Mentions Physical Abuse

i wonder if anyone else experiences certain ticks from trauma. For example, I went through physical abuse with my dad and my mom would witness the abuse but when I tried to talk to her about an incident, she’d say it didn’t happen and also that it was my fault (I’ll let you work that logic out).

it was infuriating, but now as an adult, everytime I tell someone about my dad and the abuse, i immediately feel like a liar. I know that I’m not, but somehow my brain can’t help but to invalidate itself illogically, same way my mom did.

anyone else ever experience anything similar?
