For context (to the title if needed), I'm only self diagnosed but have been close to getting an actual diagnosis, and have experienced PTSD symptoms since I was ~5 y/o due to other unrelated experiences.

My house caught fire two days ago and I haven't been able to properly process it? This happens a lot with just not wanting to express emotions but it got so bad to the point cooking today triggered the memory and a panic attack, it was really bad and I just feel so lost

@arbys I'm really sorry to hear about the fire at your house, and I can understand how overwhelming and distressing that must be for you, especially given your experiences with PTSD symptoms. It's completely normal to find it challenging to process such traumatic events, and it's okay to feel lost during this time.

If you haven't already, consider reaching out to a mental health professional to discuss your feelings and experiences. They can provide valuable support and guidance in dealing with the aftermath of the fire and help you navigate through your emotions. Remember that it's essential to take care of yourself during this process, and seeking professional help can be a positive step toward healing.

Take things at your own pace, and don't hesitate to lean on friends, family, or support groups for additional assistance. Take care and be gentle with yourself as you work through your feelings and emotions.
