Having surgery

I need heart surgery. They gave me the choice of two types. One of them is more invasive with risks and a long rehab, but has the best long term benefits. The doctors recommended that one the most. The other one is much less invasive with fewer risks (although both are considered safe) and much quicker recovery, but I would need future procedures. That's the one I told them I wanted. They're in the process of scheduling it, but now I'm doubting myself. I was shaking uncontrollably when the doctor said I hadn't made the right choice. The main issue is that I feel l have so much trauma and anxiety that I feel l won't be able to survive or recover from the more invasive surgery. The doctor says they'd give me a sedative and I'd be fine. Most people do fine with the invasive one. Feel better than ever once they recover. But I don't have anyone to help me through it. But will the less traumatic one be much better if I regret it later? I have a psychologist, but we're just getting started on my issues. One doctor says I should get a psychiatrist. Does that make much difference? I hear they mostly write Rx.
