Finally Sharing This ... A Personal Poem
Hello,
I finally have the courage to share this poem i wrote called " Not Enough to Model" . The poem is very painful because it reflects my experience as a teenage girl who was "not enough" for the modelling industry, a personal rejection that has effected me for nearly 20 years. I orginately wrote this poem for a previous Trauma Support Event, but I don't remember if I shared it or not. Anyway here it is. I hope sharing this will help me to heal this and move on with life.
Not Enough to Model
Could my eyes sparkle bright enough
to grab your much needed attention
If I couldn't do this? what was left of me?
Was I smart? gifted? or creative?
Because I would never be like Cindy, Linda, or Tyra

Hi there, lovely, thank you so much for sharing this - it takes a lot of bravery to share something so personal, and I think this definitely speaks to everyone who's ever been told in some way that they're not 'pretty' or 'thin' enough for something. I hope you've managed to find fulfilment and happiness in your adult life and career, because you really deserve it. <3
