I am a lot older than many folks here on 7 cups, so many of my stories are decades old, which is why some of them are told with tremendous emotion and tears ( not that you can see them thru the screen ! ) and others are told rather of factly, as I've lived with some of them close to 50 years and there are no more tears left.

We've all seen a cheapie horror film at one time or another, one comes to mind for me, but it has been so long I can't possibly remember the title. Basically someone is about to kill this poor teenager girl and before he does so the camera pans down and you see her urinating on herself, from fright I imagine.

I can tell you that it does not just happen in cheap low budge horror movies, it happens to frightened children. I was one of those children back in 1969.

One of my mother's favorite tools of physical abuse was a rubber exercise strap that was popular back then, you put your foot in the hole at one end and then did leg raises. At any rate it was made of rubber about 1/2 an inch thick and made a whoosing sound if you lassoed it in the air like a cowboy.

I had done whatever was deemed beating worthy in her eyes and as I stood there in front of my bedroom door, she said she was getting ' the strap '. My legs started trembling and I could not control my bladder, even by squeezing my knees together because I knew that strap was coming and would be whipped across my back which was not only painful but left big welts.

When she came storming back into the room and saw all the urine all over the floor, she changed tack. The beating was off, but she yelled at the top of her lungs ' NOW CLEAN THAT UP ' !!!!!!!!!!

The age old question - why on earth do people have children they never wanted in the first place ?

I'm so sorry you went through this. I know its hard to tell and relive it. And you are absolutely right that NO child- no person should have this done to them. I'm glad you found this place to share your painful story and to hear you aren't alone. You are strong and lived through this. Keep talking and keep going!
