Losing my voice in trauma
Hey,
A big part of my trauma has been dealing with dominating people (my parents and sexual abuser). I struggle with social anxiety also so I'm struggle with fear/trauma that I will not be able to speak up or that my struggle to portray myself in an outgoing/confident way will allow others to abuse me. When I get upset about something that bothered me I often have panic attacks and go quiet/struggle to bring up what is bothering me.
Can others relate?
(Fyi please use I statements and please don't give advice such as "what you need to do is x, y, z" because that triggers me)

You are not alone in this. I quite literally lose my voice when people communicate to me in certain ways, as in, my voice won't come out of my throat, or if it does, I am unable to string syllables into words.
it is quite normal to have difficulties communicating when you've been trade in cretain ways, especially by domineering types of people.
I hope that knowing you are not alone in this will give you comfort.
