Seeking Treatment

March 20th, 2016

I am looking up treatment options for my PTSD. So far, I am considering residential treatment at a psychiatric hospital so I can have advanced trauma therapy. But the cost is outrageous. Would it be worth It?

Well, take your finances into account. If you can afford it and still have enough left to lead a comfortable life then go for it.

If you feel its too costly, then no. If you use up all your money then being broke will probably aggravate your condition.

If possible find out more on this program, and see if it has worked for others in the past. See if you get along with the therapist if possible to meet him/her beforehand.

All the best.

@exampligratia I have been to this treatment center before and the staff and programs do a fantastic job. At the time I was 14 so I wasn't committed to trying to get better, just committed to faking happiness so I can go home. But now I truly desire help and I require intense therapy that I can't get outside of a psychiatric hospital. I have called them last night for cost information through my primary and secondary insurances but they told me to call them back in a few days.
