I experience PTSD like symptoms, have battled with picking scabs on my scalp for years, and have spent time on a mental ward.

I sleep with stuffed animals. Not even ones from childhood, but relatively new. I sleep with them, and preform pretty much every house bound duty I have with them, from reading for my classes to sipping coffee in the morning.

the shame I feel for my childish coping mechanism seems endless.
