Can cope with depression and anxiety but wish PTSD would do one- hate it
Took till my late 40s to realise I had been groomed in childhood. Reported it to find out he’s dead. Told my mum, just to receive the response’ I tried to keep you away, but you didn’t care what I said’ I was child for goodness sake.
blamed myself for years thinking I was odd having an inappropriate relationship. So sad and now I’m a mess. My whole childhood destroyed me and still is now
I don’t think there is much anyone can do to support me, I have someone from victim support helping me and am receiving therapy. Just feel completely lost and detached. 7 Cups was recommended to me. So far seems really helpful
I can identify with this quite a bit, I came to the realization this year (at 26 years old) that I might have been groomed by my older "boyfriend" in high school. It's been tearing me a part for months. I feel ashamed and guilty as well when though logically I understand that I was a child that needed the adults in my life to step in and they didn't.
It's really awful that someone would just let you end up in that sort of situation and then blame you just because you were disaggreed at the time. Kids and teenagers are defiant all the time, that doesn't mean they know best and it certainly doesn't mean they can truly consent to the lifelong consequences of these types of traumas. I'm so sorry you went through that.
I'm here if you want someone to talk to!

I'm so sorry to hear you experienced grooming. Your a strong brave individual to reach out for help -be proud you were able to. Grooming is a tricky issue.
I was a grooming victim too. It's difficult to prove and get justice. I have learned a lot in therapy about trauma bonding and the twisted ways predators groom others for their purposes. I am feeling like I'm less apt to become a victim again because of what I've learned. Therapy is a great education.
Just know your not alone and you didn't do anything wrong. I was a vulnerable human and fell victim to a real sick individual. I'm stronger now. You can be too.
Best always ABB 💜
