How can I support him?

First of all, sorry if I am in the wrong site of the forum to post it.

See, my boyfriend has PTSD (or that's I think) because he had an awful chilhood and now he is having hallucinations and similar things about that moment. Sometimes he wants to be dead because he can't forget the past so easy :( He misses his sister so much (she was murdered) and he wants her back.

My problem is it. I am too bad in giving advice/supporting people/etc., and I get stressed everytime I try to help him. I don't wanna hurt him with a thing I say. What is the best thing I can do? Ask him to tell all the problems - to quit off of his chest - and then say kind words like "You will do the best and you will win against it, I love you"? I don't know what to do, I wanna be a good girlfriend, but how? :'(

Oh @sunflower so sorry to hear what you and your boyfriend are going through. Its so clear that you want to be a good girlfriend and support him. You may be doing this all ready just by being there for him. Have you thought of asking him how he would like you to support him. Is he willing or able to get some therapy to help deal with the past.Remember to look after your self too...all the best.
