I hate fireworks

Why do people insist on lighting fireworks for every stupid holiday, people need to consider others, like CPTSD sufferers. Every time a firework goes off I jump a foot. Seriously on edge, sorry for any negativity. I really wish that people would not have their own fireworks in neighborhoods where buildings are a foot apart. A seperate designated location in towns and cities where you go, you watch, you expect it, your there because you like fireworks. When it's dark, cold and your sick you can't run away from your inconsiderate neighbors. I'm praying 🙏 for it to be done, for peace🙏 so I can relax.

Hey @amiableBlackberry92!

As someone who had an unpleasant night trying to study in the middle of the Fourth of July celebration, I totally agree with you! I wish some people would be more considerate before lighting fireworks for their neighbors. Hope you can find that peace!

@amiableBlackberry92 I'm right there with you. I live in an area where every tiny excuses is a cause for fireworks at any month or time of the year and it's so triggering. My poor dogs and I are shaken for hours. Of course it was really bad NYE and I've been experiencing a consistent state of hyperarousal so it sucked. However, what somewhat kept me less upset was lighting a candle, having a cup of tea, and playing video games with noise-cancelling headphones on with my friends. I find having something to put your full concentration into and having other noises that are expected that YOU put on to drown them out is helpful.

Hope you're feeling better <3
