I have CPTSD and a severe back injury
The two are not related other than that my back injury has forced me to at 40 as a single mom who’s 2nd husband abandoned her because she (i) requires care around the clock. The emergency rooms we have visited as my condition has worsened have not done much for me. I was told I was not bad enough to require emergency surgery or MRI imaging because, despite the waning feeling in my legs, I still had control over my bowel movements. I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon who specializes in spinal surgery in April and I am on a cancellation list. So far I can't get a pain doctor who will see me because I need to be seen because of a car accident. I was actually kicked out or rather rolled out of a pain doctor’s office into the cold while I called my dad to pick me up. Worst of all I am living in my childhood home with my parents who still believe I am 12. I can’t drive. I can't do anything to take care of myself the one time they left me alone I needed to use the restroom and I tried to stand up and broke my wrist. The really bad thing was I literally told my mom I was in the floor and could not get up and she was so busy with whatever she was doing she did not understand my texts and I didn’t get out of the floor for a little over an hour after she said, “Are you still in the floor.” One of my trauma triggers is being screamed at. So I don’t like it here. We were supposed to go to my brothers house last night and I didn’t want to go, I finally got the courage to tell my dad why I didn’t want to go and I got yelled at for ruining Christmas. I
mean he is the one who committed a crime. Well multiple crimes. Mostly white collar crimes and whatever that one is when someone threatens your l i f e. (but hey he only did it to keep me from suing his company for wage discrimination and to keep my mouth shut because I figured out a whole lot of other illegal activities he was doing.)
