Hello!

Many of us have been told to or tried exercise as a coping skill for depression or anxiety or even anger. I found this article and it has some tips for when depression is getting in the way of trying to exercise and boost those happy chemicals! This also helps with any other reason you may not be motivated to exercise!

I thought the article was great. I've had a difficult relationship with exercise in the past. These reminders are great for helping me stay healthy inside and out.

Finding exercise that I could just enjoy has done wonders for me. I tried for a long time to run after I left high school, but too many eating disorder and trauma memories were tied up in it. Learning how much I enjoyed lifting and how good it helped me feel gave me a workout to be excited about. I've also started doing yoga, which can be a real challenge sometimes. When I get it done though, it is wonderful for my focus.
