about 9 months ago I went out with friends and then woke up at a mutual friends apartment with no memory the next day. I was violently sick and in pain everywhere. I didn’t tell any of my friends, but was confused why they weren’t concerned about losing me that night? no one knew where i was and that is unlike me to ever wander off. I had one drink, so i know i was roofied. what I don’t understand is why now, 9 months later, i’m becoming so extremely bothered by it. in fact, I’m even remembering some stuff from that night. I’m also wondering if it’s strange or normal that I can barely remember stuff from even before the event took place. That entire time period of my life seems like a blank space when i try to think back. But I’m starting to remember some clear images in my mind, and have nightmares almost every night of those images.

Hey I understand how hard that can be. It's hard to experience that. And it's understandable that you have memory gaps because you don't remember what happened that night. I know PTSD is hard to experience and to talk about so I'm glad you felt safe enough to talk about it here and how you're feeling. And I don't know if you're in therapy or not but going to therapy could benefit you and help you process what happened and learn how to live with. I understand having nightmares and remembering things clearer and nightmares are scary. I understand that all of this can take a toll on a persons mental health a lot. I hope you know you're not alone and there is always people on here willing to listen to you. I'm sorry you had to go through this. Please take care of yourself and feel better. heart
