Should be included in a Check-In,
Thank you for your contribution !
@inventiveWest3210 For many here dealing with cptsd, they are still very much a work in progress. We often find that we don't fully know the extent of the abuse we suffered as children.
Therapy with a trauma informed therapist is a good place to start. Finding understanding support is good as well. There are many people here who understand what you may be going through right now, you'll find many of them willing to offer nonjudgemental support and encouragement. You're not alone.
Be patient with yourself. There will be good days and bad days. They say healing isn't linear and I believe them, because some times it seems we take more steps backwards then we do forward but it doesn't mean that you aren't healing. For many, having a safe place to use their voice and tell their story makes a big difference too. Especially if you've been told to be silent for so long. I hope you find this place to be of help to you and I look forward to seeing you around.
