i’m stuck in his room everyday
my uber driver manipulated me and didn’t take me home when i asked him to multiple times. he didn’t take no for an answer, each time. who knew 5 minutes would turn into 7 hours (12am-7am). i was terrified for my life. 2% battery, no location shared, scared that i forgot i had pepper spray. the entire time i didn’t think i’d make it home, that he would hurt me and/or kill me. he was so scary. i didn’t know where i was, what cities we were in. he told me he loved me already, im the most beautiful girl he ever saw, perfect even. he offered me cigarettes/alcohol; i said no, the only no he listened to. we got to his house around 4/5 am. he was demanding. telling me to get his stuff out of the rental car that he used for uber. i didn’t want the sex, i cried, trying not to make a sound. he got out is phone and either put a flashlight, but he wanted to take a picture of my private area.. i don’t know if he did but i shouted no. he didn’t want me to put on my clothes while i was searching for them in the dark. he turned on the lights and saw me, nude. he woke up around 6am to return the rental car. he told me he’d take me home after. as he was gone i was planning my escape but i was terrified it was a set up, that maybe he would be waiting out side to see if i left. he came back without warning. he told me to find money for gas to return the rental car. i gave him whatever i had so he can hurry and go. the second time he left i was able to leave but still i was terrified, as i didn’t know where i was. i finally escaped and got an uber home. first thing i did when i got home was hug my siblings, even tho they were asleep. i made it home. i live in his room everyday. i ride in that car everyday in my head. i’m stuck at that house everyday. i don’t know when i’ll get past this. it’s been a little over a year. he took everything from me. i changed my hair, looks, weight and all. i hate my body, i see him on my body everyday. i wish this didn’t happen.
@derpppo
Hi Derppo, I am so sorry that this happened to you. Flashbacks, and especially the ones that are as powerful and frequent as you describe, are a terrifying, emotional, and exhausting experience. It takes a lot of strength to continue each day and a lot of courage to post on a forum like this one.
When I started to have startling flashbacks and uncontrollable panic attacks, I knew it was time to talk to a professional. What kind of options do you have available to you? I know in my country, mental health support has been boosted on virtual platforms and even has been offered for free in certain areas of the country. Even support chats here on 7 Cups or speaking in a Peer-to-Peer chat can help name the emotions that are happening, and help work out some of the thoughts and beliefs that are underneath, and get tips on calming and grounding techniques.
I really do hope this helps.
