This is a very good video that talks about rejection and our need to mature in our relationships as part of our recovery and why it drives us nuts when the other party isn't invested in the process.
This video focuses on family but I feel like there are a lot of relationships that this type of dynamic applies too and the video lays out all the issues beautifully.

This is a good summary. It puts a lot of feelings into words well, I think the host does a good job with descriptions and it's validating.
That feeling of someone not investing, not being interested in you. Ouch.
