Family and Friends of Those With Schizophrenia
I'm making this thread because my younger brother (21) was recently diagnosed schizophrenic, and my boyfriend is also likely schizophrenic as well as they both have the same symptoms..and I'm having a hard time figuring out any ways to help, and I hate to see them suffering..
Hi dear, this is really an unpleasant situation! When someone we love is suffering, the first thing that comes to our mind is to do everything possible to help them and make them feel all of our closeness. It is right and admirable of you to want to make an effort to help your brother and your boyfriend, but what we too often forget is to take care of ourselves too, but above all to accept that we cannot solve the problems of others. Difficult to give precise advice in this case, all I can tell you is therefore to do your best, but also to remember to take care of yourself.
