Escaping a pedophile

In 1972, I was 11 and in Catholic school, I wore my skirt probably a bit shorter than the nuns would have liked but I was the school's token rebel child. A few blocks from my house a car sidles up to me with a middle aged man at the wheel. As he saw me from the back what he saw was a child with very large hips, a shortish uniform skirt, braids, white knee socks and marshmallow shoes - a pedophiles dream - child with some woman body parts. He called me over to car to ask for directions and he seems innocent enough, he was older than my mother and wanted to know where Atlantic Ave was, I told him he was very far from it and the only way I knew how to get there was my subway. He wanted to engage me in further conversation as he had plans on getting me in that car, but the very hard way, thru his window, over his lap and either thrown in the back seat or the passengers.

When I tried to leave because it was clear I was repeating myself about how to get there, he said ' you're not going anywhere and with a quick movement, he grabbed both my wrists and all my school books fell in the middle of the street. I went into full panic mode. He tugged my wrists so hard and as he had his window down and I was about 70 pounds soaking wet, with a few good tugs he had me waist high into the car with my face near his lap. Somehow I found some tiger like strength and fought him like a demon, screaming all the way ' LET ME GO, LET ME GO '. What is more astonishing than the attempted molestation/abduction was that not one single car stopped as my legs were flailing thru the driver's window and how on earth could that be anything than what is was - a crime.

He gave up on me because I was wild cat and released my wrists and I went tumbling backwards into the street, causing me sacroiliac pain that I still suffer with 45 years on.
