Him
Hi everyone, I know I post a lot on here but it honestly really helps so I think Im going to keep doing it if no one minds?
But I think I might have PTSD because whenever I hear his name or see it or anything or someone brings it up I get really triggered and start spiraling and have a panic attack. Like I cant breathe. Is that normal? For example a couple of weeks ago I saw his name and started to panic and had kind of flashbacks to it. And sometimes I have nightmares about him and Im terrified of the thought of seeing him again. I hate thinking about him and it makes me feel so awful when I do. And today me and my friends were joking but when she said uncle it made me super anxious and on edge.
I want to talk to my school counselor about this but Im scared to bring it up. Does anyone have any advice? I just want him to have never happened.
as always you are all beautiful and I send hugs and love from Canada -Darby

I've talked with and red stories about a lot of people who had similar things happen, and yes, it is very "normal", considering the circumstances. I wish it wasn't, because it's very hard to go through and it weighs on the wrong person. You have no guilt and should pay no price for what someone else deliberately chose to do and made sure you couldn't prevent. It's also normal finding it hard to bring up a similar issue in therapy or with someone else in general. But if you feel ready, I think it would be a good thing. Remember the most important thing now is you and your recovery. If you don't feel comfortable sharing details, even important ones, don't. Say you're not ready to tell yet. It's ok. You need your time and to do things at your pace.
Best wishes for a smooth healing 🍀✨🦊
