Has anyone had issues with sexual aversion years after sexual assault?

For the last two years I've felt like I've been doing great, and I haven't had any problems being in intimate relationships. Aside from some mild anxiety when I'm in large crowds, I've felt almost like it never happened. However, my last relationship ended in January when the guy I was seeing gave me an STD (all is well now). Since then, I have felt severe sexual aversion to the point where I do not want any sort of physical intimacy. I feel like I'm going backwards.
has anyone dealt with this? Any tips? Thank you!

Hey, @LudaKris! I was never sexually assaulted, but I experienced domestic abuse for a good portion of my childhood/middle school years. Like you, I was doing just fine for years. I'm in my second intimate relationship, however, I started having anxiety attacks during sex. I felt like I was being attacked, I was scared of my boyfriend, and his touch would seem to hurt even if he wasn't being rough. I was too scared to tell him to stop, and you can imagine how that always ended. Even the anticipation of him wanting to have sex started to make me anxious and irritable. It took lots of time to get where we are today, but I can honestly say that I have overcome that aversion. If you want to talk, I'm only a message away <3 Best to you!
