My story.. Trigger warning.

My name is Mar, and this is my story.

When I was a young child, my biological father abused me mentally, physically and sexually. He was an all around toxic human being hiding behind words of "this is how daddy's show their love". I believed him at the time, and no matter how much it hurt I would take it.

Fastforward to early teens. My father has long been out of the picture, with only a few emails or letters here and there. I thought I would never see him again - until I was attacked the summer I turned fifteen. I was walking home from a friends house in the early afternoon and some random drunkard found me. Wrong place at the wrong time. He held me down at gun point and had his way with me and then ran off. I lay crying in the feild,not knowing what to do. I was scared, the worst fear I had ever felt. I went home and acted as if nothing had happened, emailed my father in secrecy and he drove thirteen hours straight to come and take me away from my hometown - I wanted to be anywhere but there.

It wasn't until I was thirteen hours away from home and a month or so later that I started getting sick. I thought it was because I hadn't been eating so my body was rejecting food.. But I was pregnant. Fifteen and pregnant.

I called a friend back in my hometown and told her everything. She told my mom. Who sped out to my fathers house. But it was too late, my father found out and forced me into an abortion.

Right from from day one of my life I didn't have control over my body.

Oh I am so sorry to hear all that you have been through @MarleyQuinzel.. and hope that sharing your story here will be helpful for you.. to know that we understand and are here for you. You didn't deserve this abuse... and as a child couldn't do anything but take it as you said. Then to go through the trauma of rape and finding your self pregnant, and then an abortion which sounds like you didn't have much say in.My heart goes out to you in all that you have endured. You haven't had control over what has happened to you up till now... others have had the power..but its possible for you as a young adult to claim back the control in your own life.I sense you have the strength and courage it will take. It may help to have someone alongside you... have you thought of some therapy.And if you want to talk some more there are listeners here who can support you.Hugs.

@rozie

I've gone through an assortment of therapists and groups and programs in the past four years. I only recently stopped doing so in April. I lost my therapist in late March because she went to a new job in a different town, and the lady she passed me over to just wasn't the same. I couldn't connect with her so I just quit.

@MarleyQuinzel

You are very strong for sharing your story. Sometimes the best thing to do is to get it out there. I'm sorry you had to deal with that all, and if you ever want to talk, you can always send me a message.

Keep on fighting!
