Past sexual assault (19 yr male here)
2 years ago when I was 17, while waiting in bus station for transport, a strange creepy pervert came near me and started touching my p***s. I was not aware of sexual assault in this form then, but still it was uncomfortable and I subsequently avoided going out alone. Later, as I came to know about this as male sexual assault, my fear of going out has increased, and I shut myself in my room for hours, which is not ideal for a man to do. I go out only when someone accompanies me. I fear that something worse than that may happen, owing to my looks (Im thin and fairly colored, people usually tell me Im attractive)

Hey, I get this. I don't know if you want advice or just someone to relate. I'm female, but the something similar happened to me. Mine was three years ago, and to this day my first though meeting men is that they will hurt me. I try to have someone with me when I go places, a sibling or friend, but if I have to go alone, I plan out where I'm going, the exits, etc. It makes me feel safer. I don't know, maybe this will help. I'm really sorry about what happened to you, no one deserves that.
Thank u for your concern 🙏🏻 I can understand that sexual abuse victims both male and female are equally affected. But it is the law structure and the biased view of patriarchal society which makes men to suppress their trauma and emotions inside, compared to women. Yeah, I wanted advice and counseling regarding this. Im unable to live my life peacefully with remembering these events. I do go out with friend or someone but my mind questions me like, for how long as a man you will depend on others! Men must know to stand for themselves and their family too, according to this disgusting society
@Adith01
You are absolutely right about the patriarchy hurting men in this regard. I'm sorry, I just didn't know if you wanted someone to relate.
