My life story is sort of complicated... Well, My parents have been divorced since I was 2 or 3 years old, so that really did not have much of an affect on me until later on, so my life was overall pretty good until about age 6, whenmy mother decided to take my brother and I tomove thousands of miles away from where we were living with a boyfriend she had just met. That boyfriendsoon became my stepfather, and sexually abused me from ages 6-12, until I finally told my mother, who divorced him and we moved away. During the end of that time, when I was 11, I had become fast friends with a girlI met who wasin a similar situation as me, although she had a much more difficult time coping than I did, so after a few years she started doing drugs, drinking alcohol, getting tattoos, etc. She later moved away, and although we stayed in contact through social media and the occasionalphone call, it still hit me pretty hard because she was the only person I really felt I could talk to. It still affects me today.

I think it's more than normal for you to feel like nobody could listen. I had a similar experience as a 12 year old, and I just remember thinking everything was my fault, so how could I talk about it?frown Those of us who find people we feel we can trust are very, very lucky. And since it's rare to find someone like that, I think we'll always remember them.

Keep your head up, Flubjounce. It is going to get better, and I know it doesn't feel like it sometimes (or even most times... or all the time).smiley I think you made a great step by joining the community here. Thank you for sharing your story! I don't even have the courage to do that yet.

Ok...so this topic just came out. I will make my story as short as possible. My dad left me and mom when i was 4. He get bored with being dad and husband. Me and mom move into my grandparents house. We didnt have a lots of space cos there werr living other ppl.too (my grandpa's sister with husband. Her son with wife and kids) but it was ok. We could talk on evenings and play in garden. Since i was 5 my cousin moved (my mom' s sister's son- she decided to be a business woman so my mom and grandma had to take care of him) He started to "touch me" i was saying "no"etc but since i was 11 he started more...i have been raping till age of 16...he stopped cos he meet his current wife. I was always too afraid to tell. My grandparents had heart problems so such info would kill them. My mom was trying to take care of all of us so i couldnt tell her. It would be bad for her. Part of me hates my aunt that she didnt take her own son while she has been living in a huge appartament. On weekend she has been buying hemnwhatever he wanted. She has been destroying him. Anyways. Now i am ok with my couisn. We have never talk about it. I think he even dont treat it like a rape. Or he erase it from his memory. Only two ppl know about this story. My "best friend" i...i regret fact that i told her. And my bf. He gave me support. Such things in your life can destroy you. You cant turn bk time and undo that. We have to try to forget and keep living.
