STDs after childhood sexual abuse?

I've been sexually abused between the ages of 5 and 8. I'm currently not sexually active, but I sometimes worry that I may have a dormant STD. I don't have any symptoms or anything, but still.

I've tried looking around online, but can't find any information on wether or not it is even possible. And I don't really want to get tested unless it's necessary, because they'll ask questions and stuff and I am defenitely not looking forward to that.

Is there anybody who has info about this, or perhaps has experienced something similar themselves?

Yes, it is absolutely possible, but that doesn't mean that you definitely do. The tests are actually quite easy. I was always terrified of mine but it's over really quick, they don't stay down there for a long time, and you can explain things to them. The questions they ask are usually just how many partners you've had in the last year, and very bare minimum non-intrusive questions. I chose not to, and mine still asked if everything was ok because I suppose I was tense and not acting particularly normal. I'm sure they see abuse cases all of the time, and are in-tune with you and don't want to hurt you in any way. It really is a case of uncomfortable, not painful. I'm sure the likelihood of this is very low, but virus' such as HPV can have no symptoms.
