Sexually abused then being told that i’m lying?
So i was sexually abused by a very close relative somewhere around 2015. I didn’t even know it was sexual abuse back then. I told my parents about it almost three years later when i became much more aware about this term.
Since the abuser is very closely related to our family, there was no option but to shut my mouth and not speak a word of it ever again.
Now the sad part is that whenever i make a mistake, my parents are hellbent on bringing this topic everytime, and saying that I probably lied about the abuse.
I am so sorry this happened to you. I myself was assaulted by someone who is very close to my family. And my fear is that if I ever told anyone what happened I would be told I am lying. The best thing I can suggest is to stay true to yourself and your story. It happened and it happened to you. And you have every right to talk about it or let your story be known in any way you choose to, even if your family is in denial. Sending hugs your way!
I told my aunt my grandmother abused me. She said I was just miss remembering it that he was actually good to me. Over and over . I stuck to my guns. She gave me multiple chances to say I miss remembered it. After me saying no! She told me when she was 13 he told her to go have sex with a 30 year old man. It was normal. I was descusted. That's horrible. THAT'S PEDOPHILEA. She then told me five others came forward and accused him but changed their story (probably because they were bullied into it) I found out he crawled in bed with another aunt. his 16 Year old daughter in law. Everyone in my family married by 16 at most. Everyone in my family knew what he was. At some point dogs got involved. I was gang raped by dogs because of that man. I hate myself. I realized the reason it bothers me is because I'm not a slut. My therapist said I need to stop slut shaming myself.
