Starting therapy for the first time
Hello,
i was sexually assaulted just over 2 years ago and I am finally about to start getting professional help for the first time.
im very nervous.
@littlerainbow95
it is natural to feel nervous before something new - meeting a therapist and facing something so traumatic is a big step - well done you.
in my experience if you explain your nerves a therapist will be very willing to try and put you at ease and make you feel as comfortable as possible. Take things at your own pace.
I really wish you well and hope therapy is a healing and positive experience for you.

This is a big step for you, and I'm delighted you are taking it, you deserve the best help and support there is, I have no doubt that your recovery will be a successful one.
Best of luck and well done for seeking help, this makes you incredibly brave and strong
I will be thinking of you
