Hello everyone! I hope that the Trauma group is doing well.
Here is today's inspirational song:
"Shake It Off" (live version) by Taylor Swift:

Here is today's inspirational quotation:
Be yourself. Don't worry about what other people are thinking of you, because they're probably feeling the same kind of scared, horrible feelings that everyone does.
@Cawfie Hey Cawfie
Love the quote!! Im all for quotes :) And very much for being yourself. This is something I try and tell people I care about all the time. Don't change who you are, be who you are and don't be someone your not and don't try and feel you have to conform to what other people expect of you or want you to be. It can be difficult not to worry about what others think about you, especially if you have a low self esteem and self confidence, perhaps a low self worth, and more so if you have had a previous trauma history where perhaps your sense of self has been eroded away and you have been left to feel pretty negatively about yourself. But having said that, the more you work on overcoming your trauma and how its impacted you, the more you can also work on improving your self worth, self esteem and self confidence. When your able to do this, you become more self assured and then are less anxious and concerned as to what others think about you. And the quote is right though, we all probably do to some extent, worry about how others perceive us and we spent valuable energy on this that can be invested elsewhere.

@Rain45 Most wise words Rain, ye can include this
@Raveninthelabrynth Phoohey it didn't work lol
Here!
@Raveninthelabrynth ok not my night lol
@Cawfie Thank You for the encouragement.
@Raveninthelabrynth
You're welcome.
Thank you for your insight, Rain! Staying true to yourself and being who you are will allow you to feel the best about yourself. There is also no reason to pay attention to negativity, or outside negative sources. One must strive not to be negatively influenced by others, who may have irrational reasons to try to bully others. Focusing on one's personal strengths can be a positive option for coping, and leading the best life possible.
Those are very wise words and so very true
