tw suicide

I lost my friend who I worked with. Im having a really hard time processing it. and even a harding time coming to terms with it being suicide. It seemed so unlike him and the family isnt telling people publicly that it was suicide. And all of it keeps me thinking that it qasnt suicide. that something sinister happened. Is this a common coping method or am i just a shit person

@HayKay96

u are not being a shitty person there is no wrong way to cope you are not doing anything wrong in fact when my aunt died i coped the exact same way

i know people will tell you that it'll get better one day but I'm gonna tell you it will but your not going to miss them any less

the best thing you can do is hold on to the best memories that you have of you friend and keep those memories alive

what helped me is sharing those memories

like i remember when i was younger she took me and my brother outside and we jumped in the mud puddles

if you feel ok with sharing what is one of the best memories you had with your friend

I remember when playing D&D with him. He was our groups DM. and The look on his face when I figured out a way to use the imovavble rod we had found in some chest to kill a giant megladon shark was priceless. I was the only character with out lomg distance weapons. To say he was surprised by my ingenuity was one thing. I remeber the silly voices he would do for his NPCs and how we would laugh when he would name characters Stan and Dan or something like that. Its not fair thay he's gone. That we'll never finish our campaign. That we wont get to laugh at silly things kids did in our classes.

@HayKay96

that sounds like a good memory and funny too

yeah it really isn't fair but if you keep thinking about what you didn't get to do you might forget what you did get to do and i know you dont want to lose that

cherish the memories and good times

another thing that helped me i wrote a letter to my aunt and placed it and a box and buried it at the park cause she loved the park try writing a letter and burring it someplace he loved
