Cinematic Quest Challenge!
Stuck in the same movie ruts you usually are?
Let’s kick it up a notch!
Use whichever streaming service you’d like… Netflix, Prime, Tubi, Disney+, etc.
Choose a number.
Scroll down.
Watch that number in that row.
In other words:
If you choose the number 7, and land with your mouse/etc on a specific row, watch the 7th movie in that row.
Of course, you have veto power. If you land on something inappropriate, very VERY boring, or just plain awful, skip it and try again!
Do this with me!
I landed on “Iron Chef- Quest for an Iron Legend”! <3
Which one will you try??? <3
Ok guys, I’m doing this now! Shall we do it together??? Hehe. Scroll to a random row, and watch the 7th movie/show you get to <3
I had to keep redoing it because it came up with ridiculous options XD Like one about alcohol. I don’t drink! Lol
Now I’m watching “A Very Merry Beauty Salon”. Waiting for it to be cheesy lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 let us know how you liked it 😊
It was so poorly acted and boring, I stopped watching it lol. Now I’m watching Happiness for Beginners, and quite enjoying it <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 lol. We definitely have an adventure with this challenge. The places it takes me... 🤣
@jesusredeemedme2425 omg, tubi has a Christmas themed section. I will be digging through for my watching In December
Ooh does it have Rudolph??? Hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425 OH MY GOD! I searched for it on Tubi and the things i got... 😭 Should these even be here 😂 So for the sake of my eyes, i hopefully don´t roll any of THAT 😂 But I saw one version of it i think? But not the one i seen before, so no idea how is the one that is up
Tubi has some good and some awful movies, fyi lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 i definitely got to see stuff just out of an innocent cartoon search that i wish to unsee 🤣
@jesusredeemedme2425 todays roll ended up being Aftersun. This movie came out in 2022, and got it from the awards/nominations category on Tubi.
It is a coming of age story of a dad and his daughter, taking a vacation together at a holiday resort. Years later, the daughter looks back at the vacation, realising how her father was actually fighting a battle with his mental health struggles that she was too young to see or understand. Like every artsy movie, this too got it's fair share of badly framed, too long shots and scenes where you keep asking yourself why? But if you are into slow burn movies that don't spell everything out directly and let the viewers put the picture together from quite a few directly unrelated moments, thisone is definitely a good one to check out.
Tws: coping with depression, implied sh and self yeet, shoes on bed
Oh, also flash warning, there are a lot of flashing sequences, but I have no idea what happened there, since I'm flash sensitive too and had to close my eyes lol
“Shoes on bed” XD
@jesusredeemedme2425 yep. THIS should be a crime

Right???? That was NOT allowed at my house lol
I started watching “Human: The World Within”, but I was bored to tears lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 rip
I started watching “How to Get Rich”, which is intriguing. But I really wanted to finish “Happiness for Beginners”, so I went back to that after a bit lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 fair 😁
Now I’m watching Rango… about an animated lizard… lol
Welp that was uncomfortable to watch. Lol
Now I’m watching Million Dollar Secret, which my Mom watched and I was intrigued by. It’s really good so far <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 glad you are having a good time 😊
Ok, so Million Dollar Secret is basically like playing Mafia (the card game) in real life, but with a LOT of twists and turns and games <3
And Happiness for Beginners was super cute and funny, but she was NOT good enough for him. Lol
Now I’m watching “Is It Cake?”
Dumb but intriguing lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 is it this hyper realistic cake thingy?
Yesssss You’ve seen it???
@jesusredeemedme2425 I mostly know it from YouTube shorts (I doubt it's the original show) but people who make hyperrealistic cakes do a bit of real or cake game in their videos, so thought it is something like that 😁
I can’t believe their SKILL dude <3
@jesusredeemedme2425 yesss, they are incredible 😊
@jesusredeemedme2425 sooo managed to watch the first season of Helluva boss with my bf and it was fun. Definitely not as great as Hazbin hotel, and it is visible that it was made before, but had fun learning about the universe and obviously, getting to know the iconic show. It´s a lot less musical than Hazbin and a lot more violent, but still a fun watch for those who don´t mind a stronger show. We are definitely going to work our way through season 2.
With the next one, have HIM choose a row and a number! Make it more fun! Or invite friends and have them choose hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425 he isn't really into movies, so him watching something with me is not really the norm for us, we just have a few things to watch most of the time :)
Find an adventurous friend then hehe
@jesusredeemedme2425

Just kidding. I do have a few friends, but we are the type of ask twice a year if the other is alive, but no regular day to day contact
Ohhh i feel it. Same partly lol
@jesusredeemedme2425 yep. but tbh I am the problem, since people tend to overwhelm me when they are close to me emotionally (anxious-avoidant attachment with avoidant being the dominant half lol)
@jesusredeemedme2425 and ofc me constantly feeling emotionally drained doesn´t add to it. So i´m fine with how we have it right now, despite i do wish sometimes to be closer to people
