I just watched “Uglies” for the first time! I loved it <3

@jesusredeemedme2425 i personal loved this movie, mostly cause of the cast and i hope they'll consider for part 2 
I loved it, but it's been a few years since I read any of the books. I saw a few people complaining that it didn't live up to the books.

The books probably go more in depth of how the world is. E.g the ‘uglies’ are banned from accessing books as books lead to ‘free thinking’ any also give them knowledge of how the world was in the past. I don’t think this was really explored in detail in the movie. I would say the books are more of a social exploration whereas the movie is definitely focussed on action. (But again, it’s been a few years since I read!)
Sounds like a mix of The Giver and Fahrenheit 451.
