I wanted to share a little tip for our members about using the 7 Cups app/website.

Dear members, if you’ve sent a general request and it hasn’t been accepted for over than 5-10 minutes, please consider browsing for a listener and reaching out directly to someone who’s online instead of just waiting. Unfortunately, listeners can’t always accept requests right away. You deserve support as soon as you need it.

As a listener, something I really care about is making sure that anyone who needs someone to talk to can find a listener quickly. Recently, I’ve noticed a lot of general chat requests sitting unanswered for a long time, sometimes even hours. As much as I try to accept as many as I physically can, sometimes there are just too many, or they’re on topics that are triggering for me
