@BlatantHonesty This is definitely food for thought. Thank you for sharing this. 💓
Okay this sucks for me.
Stoics tend to help that “it sucks” feeling along. There’s other schools of thought that can counter balance.
Okay cool
Agreed and I only have one day off. I think of it as a mini vacation every week lol
been trying to get out of comfort zone recently and life's been better, you all can do it!!
@BlatantHonesty
Definitely 💯
@BlatantHonesty Comfort is not the worst addiction... There are many more addictions worse than comfort.
Not sure if they discovered H yet… lol
Anyway, sometimes I need some comfort. The problem is not enough when it is required if we tend to push too hard on ourselves or others.
This guy is stoic, but I like to believe stoic enough for moderation. Since he was a stoic, he believed in self-will, action and perception. Therefore, I would like to challenge myself that sometimes I do not get comfort enough, and thus challenge myself to give myself some. I would challenge myself as a child. There wasn’t a lot I could give myself in this.
This guy also likes to compartmentalize to ease suffering, but sometimes I need to feel.
I’m more of a Cicero person myself, I think. He was a Platonist. He was more of a mix with more feels.
