It’s really sad that someone bullied you.

People can be cruel to others based on any difference that makes them feel better.

The looks are the most visible ones.

Still, there are people with bad looks who end up being overlooked or even considered cool.

It might have something to do with them internally knowing what their value is. I recently read a phrase that caught my eye. It was something like „know your value or the world will tell you what it is”.

The good part is also that there are still people with enough depth in this world. It might be worth to focus more energy on discovering them as they tend to not be very visible sometimes. And spend less energy on the bullies. There is a real power in having a safety net. 

I would just be careful to not start treating someone as worse than yourself because „they lack depth”. This could make you too similar to those you don’t like, and also potentially trigger the worse behaviors in the bullies.

@TheSensitiveGirl19999 Looks do matter to some extent. People "see" and they form an opinion. Hence, we need to be presentable always and exude confidence etc. However, that does not mean our physical self which we have no control over as we were born like that.  If people form an opinion based on that, it is their problem and never yours.

I have always felt that we should excel in some area to make up for the supposedly limitations in other. And, we shine by our talents and skills along with of course our good character :)
