Feelings!
Sometimes we need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything or do anything in particular. But just to let us feel we are supported and cared about.
True. I hope you have close true friends who can help you with this. I was there for my "friends" who turned their back on me after they no longer needed me. Their lies kept growing and I had to end the friendship a few months ago, and still dealing with the pain and things that hurt me when we were supposedly friends. Take care and I send you best wishes. I am trying to navigate life one day at a time and hope I will recover but will prefer solitude from now on.
“Grumpy Turtle” sharing something… I was sitting alone at the counter in a restaurant (the keyword is alone) and a couple in their mid-forties stopped to talk with me… the woman said, “The Lord told me you are a turtle…” So, ok, I’m a Christian, and I know the Lord… but I had no idea what she (or the Lord) was talking about… prayed over this for several days, and finally it dropped into me head… a turtle takes his HOME with him wherever he goes… so, I thought about that alot. That was about 6 years ago… has taken me this long to recover from financial trouble, but the Lord was my constant help… realize my true “home” is beautiful and well decorated with experiences and failures overcome… hang in there, you’ll get through. Open yourself to HOPE again and cling to what you still love. Best to you.
Most of the times that’s what I really need. Feelings and emotions are not as scary to deal with when you feel that you are not alone
Agreed. It's hard to find someone with unconditional support for you except your parents and in some cases no one. But I have always believed when no one is there to support, you may be your own support.
Sometimes we need a hug from our own self telling itself that everything will be okay.
Self love should be celebrated.
