GAD and hi
Hi all,
I joined this community and app to try and find a safe space because some other places online are just not.
I was diagnosed as an Anxiety disorder 9 years ago but in all honesty I have had it all my life. I did not grow up in a safe or loving place and I feel that instability and constant fear and anxiousness followed me around my life.
I do have a private therapist and since 2018 I have actually improved significantly. But I recognise how hard it is to feel that way in a constant anxious state or in a panic attack.
I have dyslexia, ADHD and chronic migraines (the later which severely impact my life). And because of this I really have struggled and been misunderstood to downright bullied.
My worst incident was actually in 2018 when I was relentlessly attacked/bullied at a firm I worked at. I lasted 18 months. (One girl only lasted 2 months!) And had a huge breakdown. I left that firm but it has taken me all that time to get to this point again. This January I re-entered my career again. I have a brilliant firm and colleagues. They let me work flexibly around my migraines. I'm so lucky. But that's when my anxiety came back full force. I question myself. I feel like an imposter and constantly worry.
I'm going to see if I can start some anxiety medication with the doctor soon because it has been 6 months so I really have tried. I'm expremy nervous about explaining this to him. I really think my migraines are caused by all this anxiety too.
Thank you for listening.
