Hiyo, newbie here
I go by Poppy, I came here searching for help honestly and maybe to see if theres other out there dealing with the same thing? Just today and for the past few days I've been dealing with these emotional outbursts, first it was my girlfriend's mother, then it was my currently injured leg and now it's me putting myself down which I've been doing for too many years and I really just think I need help, but yeah if there's anyone else dealing with the hole "I'm the problem" is there a way to get over that? Or does it just stay with you forever?

Hi Poppy, welcome to the community! We currently have a session series running that deals with managing emotions! I recommend visiting the post with details and consider attending one to see how you like it.
If you'd like more suggestions on where to seek support, lemme know.
@PoppyWolfGaming Jeez, I feel this. I had a bad temper as a kid, especially when playing sports, but I somehow "grew out of it" when I was about 14. Never asked why and never looked back. I'm 45 now and ever since the pandemic I've developed a temper again. It goes against who I am... most people know me as someone who's always chill, low-key, "nothing gets to me" and I've become someone I don't like.
The first thing I can think of is exercise. Years ago I hated my job but after exercising pretty hard for 2 weeks I was a different person. For me it has to be intense, so I can have some kind of breakthrough or catharsis, but I'm 45 now and if I do that I'll probably hurt myself.
I'm also trying to be more honest with my partner. She is very caring and maybe she can help slow me down if I'm about to lose it, but with me it's usually inanimate objects that *** me off!
I've talked about myself a lot, I'm happy to hear what you are going through. First time I've ever logged into 7cups and your message was the 4th down. Don't beat yourself up. You are a flawed human just like all the rest of us. No need to be ashamed of being human. You are here trying to do better and that's something to be proud of : )
